Funtastic Music Festival Announced

Local bands, a country music day, and a tribute to Canada.

That’s the line up for the Funtastic Sports Society’s 2019 A&W Music Festival on the Canada Day long weekend, June 28 to July 1.

“Listening to what the public is asking for,” says a news release from Diana Williamson, Administrative Manager. “Our music director Tim Reardon has worked diligently
to provide bands covering a variety of genres.”

The music will start Friday, June 28th with a combination of local bands:
(7:30-9:00) Redfish
(9:15-10:45) Shawn Lightfoot Band
(11:00-12:30) The Young’uns

Saturday will feature country:
(7:00-7:45) Linus
(8:00-8:45) Dirt Road Kings
(9:00-10:30) Bad Moon Riders (CCR tribute)
(10:45-12:15) Washboard Union

Sunday June 30th, will feature a tribute to great Canadian acts
(7:00-8:30) The Feels
(9:00-10:30) Hysteria of Def Leppard
(11:00-12:30) Simply Queen

Tickets are on sale now at www.funtasticsports.ca

One day pass is $30, while a three day weekend pass is $60, plus service charges.

Proceeds from the event go towards the Funtastic Community Grant Program which has, to date, donated over $1.7 million to local non profit sports groups.
