Parade Gets Late Reprieve

The Falkland Stampede’s Parade has been given a reprieve.

Organizers had announced the cancellation of the long running event last month due to a lack of volunteers, but at the 11-th hour, a group of volunteers came forward to keep it going.

“When we first announced on Facebook that without volunteer assistance, the parade would not be held – some 13,000 people either commented, shared or reacted to the
post,” says Rodeo Manager Melissa Churchill. “It is important that people know it takes a lot of volunteer hours and strong community support to host the Falkland Stampede each year, without this it wouldn’t be possible.”

The parade will be held on the Saturday of the 101st annual Falkland Stampede on the Victoria Day weekend.
