Mar 25, 2019 | 1:01 PM

A North Okanagan arson suspect will go on trial next year in Vernon.

Colette Leneveu, 61, is facing 10 counts of arson in relation to inhabited property after several suspicious fires near homes in Armstrong in March 2018.

A judge has set her trial to start January 6, 2020 in BC Supreme Court, and it’s scheduled to last eight days.

A pre trial conference will be held Nov. 26, 2019.

The BC Prosecution Service says two separate court files for Leneveu (pictured) have now been combined.

Some tires were lit near a garage and back yard, and attempts were made to ignite two vehicles on Okanagan Street in March 2018.

There was also suspicious fires to garages on Warner Avenue around the same time.

Both fires were extinguished before extensive damage was done.

Leneveu was arrested a few days later after police say they were alerted to a suspicious person in the area of the fires.
