Police Accuse Suspect of Assault, and Damaging Vehicle

Police took a man into custody after responding to a disturbance in Vernon Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 4200 block of Alexis Park Drive around 5 pm and found a male suspect running from his residence.

Police say they tried to apprehend the man, who then allegedly assaulted officers, uttered threats and attempted to damage a police vehicle.

“The male was quickly taken into custody by officers and transported to the RCMP detachment where he remains in custody,” says Cst. Kelly Brett.
