Say Thanks To Your Transit Driver

Vernon is one of the communities taking part in Transit Driver Appreciation Day today.

The City says staff will be handing out donuts from 8 to 10 this morning at the transit exchange by Cenotaph Park, and they will have thank-you cards that passengers can fill-out for drivers.

“We are proud to celebrate the hard work and dedication of all of our transit drivers across the province, who continue to showcase a high degree of professionalism, dedication to safety, and excellent customer service on a daily basis,” says Erinn Pinkerton, President and Chief Executive Officer of BC transit.

The Appreciation Day is held around North America, to celebrate the drivers who safely get people where they need to be.
