Pot Shops Close To Going Before Council

It’s still a waiting game for Vernon’s first recreational cannabis stores.

The City says its dealing with 10 applications for pot shops, with seven of those under review by staff.

“We have four draft reports that are under review,” says City Communications Manager Nick Nilsen. “We hope to have them at Council on March 25 if so approved by Administration.  Three others are nearly at that same stage with reports to be produced in the next couple of weeks and onto Council in early April. The other three are in different stages of referral and review.”

Council earlier decided the stores will be allowed to locate in 13 zones, mostly commercial.
