Suspects Arrested In Drug-Related Confinement and Beating
Five suspects have been arrested by police around Kelowna in a drug-related forcible confinement case.
It’s in connection with a man suffering serious non-life threatening injuries last week after allegedly being held against his will and assaulted after attending a home to buy drugs.
“On February 27, Kelowna RCMP were alerted after a male was dropped off at a local hospital suffering from serious non-life threatening injuries,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Investigators believe that the victim had attended a home in Kelowna to purchase illegal drugs, when he was allegedly held against his will and assaulted. The victim has since been released from medical care and continues to recover from his injuries.”
The five suspects, arrested at various locations around Kelowna last Friday by the Emergency Response Team, range in age from 18 to 48.
