City Building Turning 100, But Days Numbered
Armstrong’s City Hall opened 100 years ago, but may not have many years left.
The City will hold a centennial celebration May 16th, 2019 for the building which originally also housed Spallumcheen and the RCMP.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating our city hall’s 100th anniversary. It was operating in 1919. We’ll have a celebration, a barbecue, and tours,” says Mayor Chris Pieper.
Pieper tells Beach Radio News in the long term, they will have to replace the facility which has “many serious defects.”
