Five arrested for alleged ‘Dial a dope’ drug trafficking operation
The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP have made several arrests following a lengthy investigation into a group of drug traffickers that they believe are responsible for supplying deadly fentanyl and other drugs on Vernon streets.
Police say they executed two search warrants as part of the investigation.
Two Vernon men were arrested on December 14, 2018 and police seized a large quantity of drugs, cash, and restricted weapons. Police say other things tied to the drug trafficking trade were also discovered.
RCMP then arrested two more people on January 25, 2019. A 65-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were taken into custody, and police seized a large quantity of what is believed to be cocaine, body armor and drug trafficking material from their home on Kalamalka Road.
