Drive BC says Highway 1 has reopened 24 kilometres west of Revelstoke to single lane, alternating traffic following a crash.
Drivers should expect delays.
Photos on Twitter show that a semi truck accident scattered hay bales across the highway.

Highway 1 is closed in both directions this morning due to a vehicle incident west of Revelstoke.
Drive BC says the incident is between Griffin Lake Avalanche Gate and Three Valley siding.
An assessment is in progress and drivers should expect delays in the area. There’s no estimated time of reopening, but another update is expected later this morning.
Snow has caused treacherous road conditions across the Southern Interior this morning (Feb. 12), and Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie is warning motorists to slow it down.
“With this temperature that’s warming up during the day and then cooling down at night, and then when we do get this extra bit of snow it makes for really treacherous driving conditions,” she says. “You really need extra time and extra distance when it’s this type of driving conditions, and that way it’ll help you keep safe and keep others in other vehicles around you safe as well.”
The Trans Canada isn’t the only highway experiencing tough conditions today. The Yellowhead Highway from Kamloops to south of Barriere has slippery sections due to snow, along with Highway 1 east of Kamloops, the Coquihalla Highway south of Kamloops, and Highway 5A.
