A Vernon man who pleaded guilty to robbing the Sparks Corn stand on Kalamalka Road last August has been given a 90-day jail sentence that will be served intermittently on weekends – followed by three years probation.
Thirty-seven-year-old Brenden Ross Cooper was given nine months credit for time served.
At the time of the Aug. 7th incident, a man brandishing a knife approached a youth employee working at the stand on Kalamalka Road and demanded money.
An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over before the suspect fled in an older-style small, blue Ford pickup.
