Meeting Focuses on Homeless Issues and Solutions

Downtown Vernon businesses get another chance to air their concerns about the impacts of homelessness.

The consulting firm Urban Matters will facilitate a meeting at the Schubert Centre this morning with merchants and service providers.

It follows a townhall event last year put on by the Activate Safety Task Force.

The firm says the purpose of the meeting will be to review concerns, discuss new and upcoming programs, and brainstorm potential ideas moving forward.
