Fire Consumes Workshop
An Enderby business hopes to reopen later this week despite a fire that destroyed its workshop Monday night.
The blaze at South Enderby Boards south of the city on Highway 97A consumed wood products and tools, and started after staff had gone home.
Fire chief Cliff Vetter says it was was a challenge to put out with so much burning wood, and also dealing with the frigid weather.
“The call came in at 5:15 and we didn’t get back here until midnight, back at the hall,” Vetter tells Beach Radio News.
