OK Builders Supplies Closing

The end of the line is near for a business with over six decades in the Okanagan.

OK Builders Supplies Ltd. has announced it will be closing its Builders Centres and Masonry Divison locations in Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton after 65 years of service to the construction industry.

The Vernon location is at 4403 25 Avenue and on Ellis Street in Kelowna.

The family owned business will continue to operate its retail outlets until March 1, as they wind down operations.

“A huge thank you to the innumerable customers and suppliers who made this business a success over the past 65 years,” says a news release issued by the company.
“OK Builders Supplies Ltd. would also like to extend their sincere thanks to all the present and past employees, who along with their families have made working at OK Builders a real pleasure.”

OK Builders Supplies recently sold its Ready Mix operations to Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited.

“OK Ready Mix locations from Penticton to Kamloops will continue to provide quality concrete and a full line of concrete accessories to the contractor and homebuilder under the new name OK Ready Mix, a Division of Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited,” states the release.
