Noric House Turns 40
A Vernon long-term care home is celebrating a milestone.
Noric House opened 40 years ago (Oct. 28, 1978) as an intermediate care home for 88 residents, on four acres formerly used for sheep farming on Mission Road.
It now has 85 private rooms.
“Places like Noric House continue to hold an important place in the continuum of care for older adults,” says Health Minister Adrian Dix. “Congratulations to the staff and physicians who have made Noric House a home for thousands of people over the years.”
