Election Results Official in Kelowna, 30% Voter Turnout

The City of Kelowna’s election results are now official.

The results were released today by Karen Needham, Chief Election Officer.

The new council will be sworn in at the Inaugural Meeting on Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Mary Irwin Theatre at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

The event is open to the public.

Council’s first regular meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 19 followed by the first Public Hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

A total of 32,130 voters cast their ballots in the election, which is 30.41 per cent of the 105,645 eligible electors in Kelowna.
