Update: Vernon and SD 83 School District Results

The Vernon School Board will have some new members.

Former NDP provincial candidate and former CUPE local leader Mark Olsen topped the polls for the four Vernon area trustees with 4,075 votes.

Another newcomer to the board, Tom Williamson, was second with 3,113, followed by the lone incumbent Mollie Bono with 3,049 and Jenn Comazzetto with 2,762.

Gen Acton, the wife of Lumby mayor Kevin Acton, got one of the two Lumby area seats with 481 votes, and Lumby councillor Lori Mindnich got the other with 380

Robert Lee went acclaimed for his second term as Coldstream’s trustee.

Elected in Area 1: Tennile Lachmuth

Elected in Area 2: Quentin Bruns

Acclaimed in Area 3: Martin Gibbons (acclamation)

Elected in Area 4: Marianne VanBuskirk & Amanda Krebs
