Lake Country Says No To Horses On Rail Trail – For Now

Horses won’t be allowed on any parts of the Okanagan Rail Trail.

Lake Country council considered it for their area after a request by a horse council, but Mayor James Baker says they turned it down.

“We have gone with all the jurisdictional groups, other than us, and we’re saying no to horses,” says Baker.

Horses are not allowed on the north and south sections of the trail as well.
