Local Wildfire Still ‘Out of Control’

All the recent rain and cooler weather has not been enough to douse the wildfires in the North Okanagan.
Brenna Ward from the BC Wildfire Service says the Mabel Creek fire east of Enderby is still listed as “out of control.”
“The biggest, most notable thing going forward is that the Mabel Creek fire, it will still be visible to people in the area of Mabel Creek, but it is just being monitored, so we don’t have any resources on it,” Ward tells Beach Radio News.
Ward says that 1,370 hectare fire, located 6.5 kilometres east of Mabel Lake, is being monitored by a camera.
