Charges Laid in Salmon Arm 7-Eleven Smash and Fire

Charges have been laid against a Shuswap man in connection with last Friday’s vehicle crash into the 7-Eleven store on Highway One in Salmon Arm and a subsequent fire that tore through the building causing serious damage.

The Crown Prosecution Service says 37-year-old Kenneth Robert LaForge has been charged with one count of mischief and one count of arson.

LaForge made his first appearance in court today.

A bail hearing will be held at the Salmon Arm Law Courts tomorrow.
