Richmond RCMP Seek Missing 9 yr. Old Girl and Mother

The Richmond RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 9-year-old female, Amaya ARAKI-MCWILLIAMS. ARAKI-MCWILLIAMS was last seen at 1:00 am on August 26, 2018 when she was allegedly taken without permission by her mother, Natalie ARAKI. ARAKI-MCWILLIAMS was staying at a hotel in Richmond with her father, who has sole custody.

Amaya ARAKI-MCWILLAMS is described as:

· Mixed raced female (Asian / Caucasian)

· 9 years

· 4 ft 6 in to 4 ft 10 in (137 to 147 cm)

Amaya ARAKI-MCWILLAMS was last seen wearing:

· a white “Canada” t-shirt

· dark coloured shorts

Natalie ARAKI is described as:

· Mixed raced female (Asian / Caucasian)

· 35 years

· 5 ft 2 in (157 cm)

· black hair

Natalie ARAKI was last seen wearing:

· black jacket

· black baseball cap

The two are still believed to be in the Lower Mainland, possibly Vancouver or New Westminster.

Richmond RCMP are in contact with the family and friends of both ARAKI-MCWILIAMS and ARAKI. “Since her disappearance we have followed up on several leads and avenues of investigation” say Corporal Adriana PERALTA “Unfortunately, despite all efforts, ARAKI-MCWILLIAMS has not been located”.

Richmond RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating her. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either is urged to contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
