Weather Change Could Disperse Smoke
A major change in the weather is coming — and it could help improve the air quality.
Lisa Erven from Environment Canada says a cold front will sweep through the province late Thursday or early Friday.
“It’s going to break that lid (from a ridge of high pressure) which is good in that we’ll get more mixing, more dispersion of wildfire smoke, into the upper atmosphere, so the potential for improving conditions,” Erven tells Beach Radio News.
Showers will also be part of the new system, which will drop temperatures into the low 20’s.
