Large Fuel and Oil Theft

A Cherryville business was the victim of a large fuel theft.

Police say about 6,680 litres of diesel fuel and numerous 20 litre buckets of motor oil were stolen from the business at 748 East Highway 6 overnight Sunday.

“The value lost for this company is approximately $6,000 worth of fuel and oil, which can cause (disruptions) to their business and livelihood,” says Cst. Kelly Brett. “It would appear that a large vehicle or two, possibly pulling a trailer was used to effectively remove the fuel from the tank”.
