BBQ to Blame for Double House Fire

A BBQ is being blamed for an accidental fire that spread to two homes last night in the Bayview area, on Westbank First Nations territory.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue chief Jason Brolund says crews from Lakeview Heights, Glenrosa and Rose Valley stations fought the blaze before it spread further.

All residents escaped safely and one cat was rescued.

Eleven people were put into the care of Emergency Support Services.
