Mund Praises Mayoralty Candidate

Akbal Mund is sounding like a man who may not run for re-election this fall.

Vernon’s first term mayor says he hasn’t made up his mind yet, but admits Victor Cumming is a quality candidate, and one that he could support.

“I’m happy (that he’s running) because that’s takes pressure off me making a forced decision to run because I feel there may not be somebody I want to run the city, so it helps in that way,” Mund told Beach Radio News and other media.

Cumming was second to Mund in the five person mayor’s race four years ago.
