Orchard Worker Stabbed

A seasonal worker underwent emergency surgery after he was allegedly stabbed in the back by another worker at their residence at a Kelowna orchard.

Police say the incident happened in the 4300 block of Old Vernon Road Monday night.

The 31 year old male victim is recovering from his injuries, while a 29-year-old man was taken into custody.

“RCMP continue to secure the crime scene, as investigators with the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section await a warrant to search the property and gather physical evidence,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP.
