Update

There was a short power outage in Coldstream this morning affecting just over 900 homes.

The power went off just after 7 am, and was back on about 45 minutes later.

Hydro’s Dag Sharman says crews were unable to find the actual cause but were able to re-energize the line and restore service.

He suggests it may have been due to a tree falling on a line.

BC Hydro hopes to get power back on shortly to about 914 customers in Coldstream.

Power went out in an area West of Howe Drive, East of Westkal Road, South of Middleton Way, North of Cosens Bay Road just after 7 o’clock.

Hydro hasn’t said what the cause was.
