Police Probe Alleged Murder in West Kelowna

The RCMP are holding a man in custody in connection with the suspicious death of a woman at a hotel in West Kelowna.

Officers were called to the hotel on the 3400 block of Carrington Road just after 7 p.m. on Sunday where they found the body of the dead woman.

Police say a suspect was arrested nearby.

The two are from the Lower Mainland and are believed to have known each other.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit has taken over the probe.
