Smile Power Day And Smile Emojis!

Jun 15, 2018 | 10:07 AM

Are you smiling today? It’s a Friday, the weather looks amazing for this Father’s Day weekend and it’s National Smile Power Day! There’s also more concert news coming up but first, according to NationalDayCalendar.com, “Research has proven that smiling really does increase attractiveness and likability between humans.  Smiling creates a greater trust and increased interpersonal cooperation.  Smiling at someone can help them to relax and relieve their stress while at the same time, it will make you feel right.  Smiling (even if you do not feel like it) will lift your mood and can make you a happier person”.

So we’re challenging you to share your smile photo, or favourite smile emoji with us. TALK or TEXT your smiley photo to 250-545-7557, Facebook, Instagram, use the new BEACH RADIO APP, email melanie.ohara@jpbg.ca or Twitter.

If emojis put a smile on your face, then you’re probably liking the look of the 157 emojis released this year. For more details on a possible date for when they’ll be released for android phones click HERE

Emojis! We see them everywhere! On home decor, school books, birthday parties, through social-media and even food. Maybe your kids will make these emoji burgers for Dad this weekend?

This photo put a smile on my face.  1075 Beach Radio texter Reg Neufeld shared a photo of an emoji dog toy that he shared with his daughter, so he shared it with us and as he put it “Sharing is caring. PS. I love emojis and I am an old guy”! LOL

Earlier this year Ellen Degeneres shared info on her show about the new emojis for this year. Here’s her take on that, which’ll make you smile!

We hope the great weather or something else inspires you to smile this weekend? Maybe these photos from1075 Beach Radio listener Brenda Ellis will do just that!

Maybe the thought of going to a concert makes you smile? Have a look at the latest on this tour:
