Video of Bugs Jumping Sparks Twisted Imagination

This is an interesting video – maybe it’s fake, but I doubt it. A man yells “Hey” and these bugs on the lake all respond. They jump every time he yells – they’re either terrified, or intensely obedient. 

I have mixed feelings about it all. On one hand, it’s cool to have this “level of control” over bugs. On the other hand, I have this twisted horror movie response where I think a “ mastermind freak” character will be able to mobilize all these bugs with commands. This person then trains the bugs to do their bidding, and some kind of horror movie ensues where all the residents of a sleepy logging town are slowly eaten alive.

Maybe I’ve been reading too many articles about Stephen King’s “It”

Or maybe I have seen “Lake Placid” too many times … Remember Betty White was masterminding that giant crocodile …
