Peachland Wildfire

Update 8 pm

The BC Wildfire Service says the blaze is now 20 hectares and burning aggressively.

There are structures nearby, but none are threatened.

 6 pm

There is a new wildfire in the Okanagan.

Crews are working on a fire about seven kilometers southwest of Peachland that began Saturday afternoon.

The BC Wildfire Service says seven firefighters are on site, with more on the way.

There is also numerous air tankers, water bombers and helicopters working on it.

It’s estimated at 10 hectares in size.

There are said to be homes in the area but they are not immediately threatened.
