Sears Restructuring Affects Four BC Locations

Four Sears locations in British Columbia are affected by the company`s announcement this morning that it is seeking court protection from its creditors so that it can restructure its business.
The Company announced the closing of 20 full-line locations, plus 15 “Sears Home” Stores, 10 “Sears Outlet” and 14 “Sears Hometown” locations as well as a corresponding planned reduction in its workforce of approximately 2,900 positions across its retail network and at its corporate head office in Toronto
In BC, the Sears full time store at Aberdeen Mall win Kamloops will close.
The Hometown stores in Creston, Grand Forks and Sechelt will also close.
