Rail Trail North AAP Confusion

The Regional District of North Okanagan is concerned there may be some confusion surrounding the alternative approval process for the Rail Trail North project.

The AAP concerns the borrowing of money by the Regional District to pay its share of the purchase of CN Rail property for the trail.

RDNO board chair Bob Fleming says they`ve had some inquiries that suggest people aren`t sure what to do.

“The forms that can be filled out for that AAP have to be submitted to the regional district and the deadline is 4 pm on the 17th of July. Some people are thinking they can send them to municipal offices or whatever but it actually has to the regional district office.“

While the forms are available on line, they can`t be submitted that way.

Only one person per household can fill out the form.

The AAP is only for people who against the borrowing plan.
