Lake Country RCMP Make Disturbing Arrest at Swalwell Water Park

An arrest was made, and a man faces potential charges following a disturbance which broke out yesterday afternoon at Swalwell Park in Lake Country.

Just after 4 pm, Lake Country RCMP responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot of the Water Park located on Bottom Wood Lake Road.

Police have since learned that a man confronted another man, allegedly observed committing an indecent act while he sat inside his vehicle parked adjacent to the water park.

The confrontation turned physical, before the man was apprehended and turned over to police.

“The RCMP continue their investigation into the allegations made, as investigators look to speak with more potential witnesses,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

A 64-year-old Central Okanagan man, identified by police, faces potential charges. He was later released on strict conditions and is expected to appear in Court at a later date.
