Kal Lake Water Source Back On

Jun 16, 2017 | 4:18 AM

The Kalamalka Lake water source is flowing into local homes for the first time in a month.

The regional district says the source was turned back on today, after being shut down May 15th due to high turbidity.

“The turbidity levels have returned to normal and GVW can now return this water supply back to normal operations,” says an RDNO release.

All customers had been on the Duteau Creek source the last month.

Customers on the Kalamalka Lake supply may notice a change in water quality such as an increase in hardness. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.
