Saturday Pickleball Request In Coldstream
Coldstream Council is holding off deciding on a request by pickleball players at the Mount Ida Drive courts.
Mayor Jim Garlick says they want to change one of the available playing days.
The courts are currently open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
“They just asked if we’d consider changing over from the Friday opening to the Saturday opening so the people who were working could come and use them.”
Garlick says area residents are going to be asked their their thoughts.
“We didn’t want to make a decision without informing people first, so it’ll be coming back at the beginning of July to our council meeting, and we’ll make a decision at that time.”
Pickleball has been a noise complaint issue at the time and there have been some concerns expressed about an increase in traffic.
