Lumby Days A Big Success

Jun 12, 2017 | 11:29 AM

Lumby Days this past weekend may have been one of the most successful in recent years.

Chairperson Myrna Alexander says good weather was the key in bringing out the crowd.

Since there`s no admission charge, it`s difficult to get a solid number of people who showed up.

“The only indicators we have are from the vendors and particularly the midway who said this was their best year ever out here and they were thrilled.“

She said many of the special events were packed.

`It`s a pretty big park but I look over at the car show and went holy smokes that was really full. Then the vendors inside the buildings, the artisans and whatever, they were full.“

Alexander says the only hiccup might have been the long ferry waits to the east because of the Trans-Canada Highway closure until Saturday night.
