Jun 6, 2017 | 1:15 PM

Hundreds of firefighting officials have been in Vernon this week.

The City and Vernon Fire Rescue Services are hosting the 85th annual B.C. Fire Expo and Chief’s Conference at Kal Tire Place.

The Expo is the largest exhibition of fire service equipment and services in the Pacific Northwest.

It features 125 inside booths and 30 outside displays.

Over 300 officers, emergency vehicle technicians, and firefighters from across BC have been taking part.

“This conference is an incredible benefit to the Fire Service and are we grateful for the opportunity to host the event,” says Vernon Interim Chief David Lind.

The Chief’s Conference runs until June 8.
