Creative Chaos Hits Vernon
The 42nd annual Creative Chaos begins today at the Vernon Rec Centre complex.
Spokesperson Ingrid Baron says they have 220 crafters along with creative activities and a full food fair.
`You know, the funny thing is we don`t jury our show either. It sort of juries itself. People come from far and wide to be in our show. They enjoy coming to the Okanagan, so they make a holiday out of it.`
As usual, the show has a full slate of local entertainment.
“Everything from the Seaton Choir to Saturday morning pipe band is always well attended . We`ve even got the Porch Pickers and the Desert Moon dancers.“
It`s free to get in, but donations to the food bank are encouraged.
`You can either bring a cash donation. We have a couple of kettles set up or a non-perishable food donation as well. It`s one of their biggest fundraisers of the year actually at Creative Chaos.“
Thousands of pounds of food and a few thousand dollars in cash traditionally comes in during the weekend.
This year`s show also has a Canada 150 theme
