Tax Notices Mailed
Vernon property owners will be getting their 2017 tax notices in the mail soon.
Payments and Home Owner Grants, if eligible, must be received on or before July 4th to avoid a ten percent penalty.
City taxes will increase by 3.58 per cent this year, or an extra $49 for the average residential property.
The City of Vernon offers a free, secure online service that allows property owners access to information about their City tax and utility accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Setting up a MyCity account is easy; all you need is the folio/account number and access code located on the utility bill,” says a City news release.
Using MyCity allows users to:
Access up-to-date account status
Claim their Home Owner Grant online
View property tax transactions for up to two years
Change a mailing address
Print off payment and grant confirmations for mortgage providers
If you have not received your bill, please login to your MyCity account at www.vernon.ca/mycity or visit City Hall.
