Power Outage Province Wide

BC Hydro has restored power to approximately 184,000 BC customers as of this morning. The Thompson-Shuswap remains the largest area still without power with over 18K customers being affected.
Some areas in Northern Vernon/Spallumcheen (Stepping Stones Crescent, St Annes Road, Otter Lake Road) are still without power. BC Hydro website states that crews have been assigned to the outage.
Crews have not been assigned to outages in Lavington as of yet with School Road believed to be within the affected area.
BC Hydro has reported nearly 70,000 homes and businesses across the province are experiencing power outages. Nearly 24,000 of those being in the Thompson-Shuswap.
It was just reported that nearly 1,500 homes in Northern Vernon have also been affected by the power outage. (See area below)
Crews are said to be working diligently through the night in hopes to restore power to the affected areas.
BC Hydro claims the recent windstorm is the cause of the power outages.
