Suspect In Truck Involved In Suspicious Incident

RCMP are investigating a suspicious incident in Armstrong where a child was approached by a male driving a white pick up, offering him a ride.

Mounties say it took place last Thursday (April 6) afternoon while the boy was walking home on Rosedale Avenue near Colony Street.

“A white truck stopped and the male driver asked “hey kid want a ride home?” The boy declined and the male driver started yelling at the boy who immediately ran away. The vehicle then drove off,” says RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

The driver had long hair and was dressed like a cowboy or farmer due to a brown vest he was wearing, and his two door truck, which may have been a Dodge, truck had BC license plates.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident asked to contact the Armstrong North Okanagan RCMP at 250-546-3028 or via Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477,” says Moskaluk.
