New Trail For Foothills

A new trail will be developed in Vernon’s Foothills neighbourhood this year, connecting Whitecourt Place to Foothills Drive along the top of the ravine.

During the development of the Foothills Neighbourhood Plan and the Parks Master Plan, residents said they wanted to see those types of trails to improve pedestrian connectivity in the neighbourhood.

The first section of ravine trails was completed in 2016 and connects Copper Mountain Court and Whitecourt Place.

The project currently has a budget of $15,954 with another $4,000 approved for crusher chip surfacing.
