Pat Duke Reno On Course

Plans are moving along for the upgrade of the Pat Duke Arena in Lumby.

Acting Mayor Julie Pilon says the organizing committee is trying to stay focussed.

” Apparently, there has been word out, rumours that there’s a gym being fabricated and all kinds of thinngs – not true.”

Pilon says for now the plan is to continue the goal
of creating women’s change rooms and upgrading the washroom facilities among other things.

” We’re trying to raise that little bit of extra money
just to make it so that it’s comfortable for those girls that are playing in hockey and those teams that are coming in. ”

At last word, about 180 thousand dollars has been raised to go toward renovations
