Primary Health Care Funding Boost

The provincial government has found more money for health care,
Health Minister Terry Lake this morning announced 90 million dollars over three years to bring integrated team-based primary care services to more communities.
Teams and networks of primary care providers are at the centre of a new model for health services.
The new funding is intended to target the expansion of that model, including the establishment of nurses and nurse practitioners in primary care practices.
The Health Ministry says it will also continue to develop new comprehensive options for funding
