Hazmat Team At Scene of Drug Lab

RCMP are at the scene of a Vernon area home for a suspected clandestine drug lab

Officers first attended the home in the 8-thousand block of Silver Star Road Friday evening, and also used the assistance of the Vernon Fire Department’s HazMat team.

“Given the preliminary findings, the RCMP Federal Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team (CLEAR), was called out in order to safely examine the scene in order to search for and collect evidence and make a full determination of the purpose of the suspected drug lab,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Investigators and examiners with Health Canada are also involved.
