Person dies after incident at Kal Beach

An Investigation is underway into the death of a person at Kal Beach in Coldstream this morning (April 17.)
Police say the person was pulled from the water around 9:45 a.m. and taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
”The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service have begun a concurrent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the person’s death,” RCMP Const. Chris Terleski said. “Investigators are currently in the process of positively identifying the person and notifying the next of kin.”
