RV destroyed in highway fire

A vehicle fire impacted traffic near the Kelowna Airport earlier this morning.

A recreational vehicle was destroyed in the blaze that broke out in the northbound section of Highway 97 near Airport Way around 9:30.

The fire spread to nearby grass before it was contained.

The cause is not known, and one person reportedly suffered a burn and smoke inhalation.
