Fire at Whispering Pines site

A well-known property between Vernon and Falkland has been damaged by a fire.

Police say a blaze broke out late Sunday night (March 19) in a travel trailer at the Whispering Pines Motel and Restaurant site off Highway 97 in Falkland which is outside the fire protection zone.

RCMP did not say what might have caused the fire.

“The fire was contained to the travel trailer and no persons were injured,” Cpl. Tania Finn of Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said.
