Third monkeypox case identified in Interior Health region

There is a third confirmed case of monkeypox in the Interior Health region.
Interior Health officials say the first two cases were confirmed in a laboratory test August 11. But it will not release the location of those two cases. And it will not confirm or deny the location of the latest case is in Kamloops.
Health officials say they have reached out to individuals who may have been exposed.
Interior Health says monkeypox is not easily spread between people and the risk to the general public is very low.
